Russia Unemployment Rate Down to 5.7% in March


Russia unemployment rate was reported at 5.7 percent of the economically active population according to a report by the Rosstat. The unemployment rate decreased 0.1 percentage points in March of 2013 from 5.8 percent in February and decreased 0.8 percentage points from 6.5 percent a year earlier.

In March, the number of people unemployed in Russia was 4.25 million, which represents 5.7 percent of the workforce, after a rate of 5.8 percent rate in the previous month.

The number of unemployed decreased from 4.33 million in February of 2013 and from 4.70 from a year earlier.
