Year-on-year, food prices rose 5.15 percent down from 5.59 reported in January while transport cost increased 2.76 percent. Housing, water, electricity and gas prices advanced 2.17 percent and cost of clothing and footwear grew 2.09 percent. In contrast, prices of communication fell 12.38 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.19 percent, slightly below market expectations and up from a 0.09 percent drop in January.
Core inflation, which strips out some volatile food and energy costs, rose 0.34 percent.
