Serbia Building Permits Decline

The number of building permits issued in Serbia sank by 14.9% from the previous year to 2,316 in April of 2025.

Despite the sharp slowdown, it was the second-highest reading for the month on record.

84.5% of the permits issued related to buildings, with 82.3% of those for residential buildings and 17.7% to non-residential buildings.

In turn, 15.5% of the permits were issued for civil engineering constructions, with 70% of that activity being dedicated to electric power lines.
