Bahrain Q4 GDP Growth Strongest in A Year

Bahrain's economy advanced by 3.4% year-on-year in Q4 of 2024, accelerating from an upwardly revised 2.9% expansion in the previous quarter, preliminary data showed.
It marked the fastest growth since Q4 of 2023, boosted by a 4.6% increase in the non-oil sector.
Among economic activities, information and communication grew the most (12.4%), followed by transportation and storage (11.0%), manufacturing (7.0%), construction (6.8%), and accommodation & food services (6.1%).
Meanwhile, the oil sector fell by 3.5%.
On a quarterly basis, the GDP expanded by 7.0%, accelerating sharply from an upwardly revised 0.8% growth in Q3.
For the 2024 full year, the economy grew 2.6%, easing from a 3.9% growth in 2023, driven by a 3.8% non-oil activities, which account for 86.0% of the GDP.
Conversely, the oil sector shrank 4%.
For 2025, the economy is expected to grow by 2.7%, boosted by a 3.4% growth in non-oil activities.
